Darwin & Wallace and their amazing charity efforts!

We'd like to introduce you to our lovely friends at Darwin & Wallace, who like most of the hospitality industry, had to close their doors to the public due to the pandemic.

But this hasn't stopped them from continuing their great work, and wanted to help their community. On their search they realised their sous chef at 601 Queens Road, Benedetta, had been working in one of the local hospitals who had no canteen, and no support.

The team couldn't stand for this, knowing they had a fully functioning kitchen and suppliers willing to help, they got to work making 50 meals a week to cater to the staff, ensuring they didn't go hungry during their long shifts. We are proud to say we supported their efforts, providing lots of different fruits and veg (and lots of greens for pesto!)

Darwin & Wallace share our same values on sustainability, and we hope once normality resumes we will continue the work on the wonky vegetables and be able to offer these on the shop.

The good news is, April 12th is drawing closer and some of the sites will be re- opening their beautiful outdoor terraces; No29 Battersea, No32 Clapham & No17 Ealing Dickens Yard and we're so excited!
